About

We built Computer Gaming World because PC gaming coverage had drifted into press-release summaries and affiliate bait. We wanted the site we couldn’t find: one that actually tests hardware, actually benchmarks games, and actually tells you when a $1,050 box is not worth your money.

What we cover

Everything that matters to PC gamers: hardware reviews and buying guides (GPUs, CPUs, monitors, peripherals), game performance guides with settings tested on every GPU tier, coverage of the games worth your time, and the esports calendar so you never miss a tournament.

How we test

Our performance guides are measured, not guessed. Every “best settings” article runs the same benchmark passes across GPU tiers, and our hardware recommendations come from hands-on use, not spec sheets. If we haven’t tested it, we say so.

Who we are

The CGW Editorial Team: PC gaming enthusiasts covering hardware, performance guides, and the games that matter. Every guide tested on real rigs.

Independence

We earn money through affiliate links and advertising, disclosed plainly on our affiliate disclosure page. It never changes our verdicts: when a product isn’t worth it, we say so, and we’ve said so plenty of times.
